Summary You will serve as a Materials Handler in the FLC JACKSONVILLE Product and Service Regional Transportation and Distribution for Transporation of Things (TOT) of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE. Responsibilities You will verify shipments by checking shipping documents and match specific item identification by name, stock number, letter, code, quantity, and unit of issue on containers. You will unload incoming shipments and documents receipt of material. You will apply material handling techniques in storing items providing for easy retrieval, convenience in handling, protection from damage, and ease of movement. You will coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments and placement of materials to facilitate movement of materials in accordance with priorities, scheduling requirements, and space allocations. You will operate equipment in a safe manner, applying established safety rules and regulations to minimize minor violations and to avoid major violations due to employee error or negligence.
