Lakeland Monroe Group Maintenance Technician in Kentwood, Michigan

Job Summary:

Perform preventative maintenance and repair to machines, equipment and physical plant.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance as assigned on a variety of equipment including molding machines and peripheral equipment, compressor, dryers, and general building equipment.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and solving problems with machinery and/or facilities as they arise.
  • Use information to diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
  • Use various meters for the measurement of voltage, temperature, current and air flow etc.
  • Using knowledge of fundamental parts, fittings, components, and functions of electrical and hydraulic systems, perform repairs on these systems.

*Required Skills/Abilities: *

Be familiar with hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic schematics and diagrams, read and understand operational information and instructions, including timing and flow charts.

 

Education and Experience:

One year certificate from college or technical school and three years of related experience in machine and facilities maintenance; or High School Diploma/GED and four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

*Physical Requirements: *

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

*Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times. *

Please keep in mind that this is a 3rd Shift Position. Hours are typically 10:50pm-7am + overtime.
