Description

Robert Half is currently working with local company looking to add a Senior Accountant to their growing team in Kent, Washington. The individual will be responsible for maintaining general and subsidiary ledgers, overseeing check processing, handling tax calculations, and coordinating year-end close with auditors. This role will also involve managing assets, collaborating with the finance team, and performing various tasks as assigned. Responsibilities:

• Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers, including journal entries and reconciliations.

• Oversee check processing, bank account management, and cash balance monitoring.

• Prepare financial statements and manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

• Handle tax calculations and filings.

• Manage assets and property taxes.

• Collaborate with the Finance team on training and daily operations.

• Coordinate year-end close with auditors.

• Assess internal controls and implement best practices.

• Provide administrative support.

• Perform special projects as assigned.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $85,000-$95,000. Benefits offered with this position include Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, 401k with a match, 15 days of PTO/Sick in the first year, 9 paid holidays, and profit share potential!

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger management

• Ability to process Journal Entries accurately and efficiently

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and data analysis

• Experience in handling Month End Close processes

• Proficiency in preparing Monthly Financial Statements

• Experience in managing Subsidiary Ledger

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred, but not required

• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
