As a Manufacturing Engineer Technician in Zebra’s Technical Operations team, you will be empowered and inspired to contribute to our mission for delivering and supporting optimized test solutions in support of product configurations, reconfigurations and conversions at our key distribution center’s value add services area (VAS). This includes supporting new product introductions (NPI), while supporting legacy test equipment, software and managing engineering production changes while providing production support. You will be involved in feasibility of test solutions and ensure efficient deployment across the site that meet Zebra’s quality standards.

This is a Day Shift position: 8am - 5pm

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots quickly and accurately based upon information given, observations, and/or product knowledge.

  • Provides technical support to various production lines and products to ensure efficient resolution to issues.

  • Provides input & feedback helping to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the production line processes.

  • Performs work method analysis and develops best practices for a variety of

    operations along with setting standard work times. Analyzes data and trends

    associated to repeat tests with ability to implement corrective actions.

  • Ensures that the test equipment, devices under test, and the testing environment

    are correctly maintained such that test results are not compromised with full

    understanding of maintenance and calibration programs.

  • Regularly contributes ideas and supports the implementation of continuous improvement action items.

  • Train line leads and associates on processes and resolution of line issues.

  • Supports Engineering team with engineering changes

  • Supports any computer and custom test software related issues affecting performance of production lines.

  • Strong knowledge of Zebra products and repair processes.

  • Maintain effective communications skills, work ethic, and cooperation with peers and Engineers

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • At least 2 years of work experience

    Preferred Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree

    Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Experience in documentation of product assembly Work Instructions

  • Proven experience in overseeing the design and development, and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products

  • Good project management skills

  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required

  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Salary: USD 25.19 - USD 37.79 Hourly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.

Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
