Position Title: Administrative Specialist Employment Type: Full Time Reports To: Associate Vice Chancellor and Vice Chancellor HR and Finance Full Time Pay Range: \$50,000.00-55,000.00/annually Job Summary: Provides administrative support for a department, group of professionals, or to the manager(s) of a work group consisting of professional staff and subordinate supervisors in support of unit goals, under general supervision. RESPONSIBILITIES: Key Job Responsibilities: Provide direct administrative support to the Vice Chancellors of Human Resources and Finance. Executes functions as they affect the programs of numerous and complex organizational segments for the evaluation and improvement of such programs. Plans, organizes, supervises and checks the work of employees engaged in performing administrative functions. Supervises and recommends policy regarding research studies to be initiated in connection with compiling complex interpretive reports and summaries of statistical information. Recommends policy and determinations on fiscal, personnel and budgetary matters. Maintain and secure confidential files; establish and maintain both electronic and hard copy filing systems. Act as point of contact between the Universities of Wisconsin human resources, finance, compliance, and legal offices Manage preparations for meetings, conferences, and other project related events and functions. Schedules logistics for travel and hotel accommodations in support of the department and unit.
