Job Description

A large financial services client is seeking a Lead Hadoop developer to join their growing team. This individual will support production (L3) in Treasury 25% of the time and take other lead developer responsibilities 75% of the time. This person should be comfortable taking ownership of a project or work effort and seeing it through. This resource will be responsible for understanding design, propose high level and detailed design solutions, propose out of box technical solutions for resolving business problems and technical problems that arise during the real time in production. We are seeking a candidate with strong analytical skills to take a quick decision during the tough times. They will engage in discussions with the information architecture team for coming out with design solutions, proposing new technology adoption ideas, attending project meetings, partnering with near shore and offshore teammates in a matrix environment, coordinating with other support teams like L2, development, testing, upstream and downstream partners, etc. We are seeking a candidate to come into the office 3x a week in Kennesaw GA or Chandler Arizona.

Skills and Requirements

· 10+ years of overall ETL and data warehousing development experience.

· Solid experience with either Informatica Power Center and/or Big Dara (HDFS, Spark, Impala, Hive, etc.)

· Oracle database experience with ability to write and understand SQL.

· Working knowledge of Linux basics, including the ability to write and understand basic shell scripts.

· Troubleshooting and data analysis skills and the drive to determine the root cause of an issue.

· Experience with data movement and transformation technologies. · Skala development.

· Python, shell scripting or other programming language development.

· AutoSys job scheduling experience. null
