A growing EPC firm in Georgia is looking for an Estimating Specialist. Candidates must have at least 8 years of estimating experience in the industrial construction sector. A BS Engineering degree or Construction Management degree is a plus. Should be able to build estimates/bids in Excel and have the ability to travel from time to time. This is mostly an office-based position. Hybrid work schedule. Salary, bonus potential and benefits.

responsibilities:

Generate detailed project estimates for Proposals capturing all costs of the project including commodity costs, installation hours, rental equipment such as crane costs, and reviewing the constructability of the project

Perform project estimation for 4-6 core projects per year totaling $300+ million plus multiple smaller projects

Collaborate with engineering, project management, and project control leads during the estimating process

Develop material take-offs for concrete, structural steel, piping, and electrical systems

Develop Request For Proposal (RFP) specifications and bid packages for suppliers and subcontractors

Evaluate all specifications and proposals to ensure estimates are complete and provide the most cost effective yet reliable option to meet the client's requirements

Participate in estimate reviews with management and customers

Visit job sites to obtain or confirm project specifics to ensure an accurate estimate

Track and evaluate data from current and previous projects for use in future estimates
