Aston Carter Accounting Supervisor in Kendall, Florida

Our client is seeking an Accounting Supervisor with a background in insurance and re-insurance to join their expanding team in Kendall, FL!

Description:

  • Responsible for overseeing the daily transactions of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

  • Contribute financial data to business plans, strategic plans, and reviews as necessary to ensure they meet accounting operational standards.

  • Prepare financial statements, annual budgets and financial forecasts, they also help with preparing budgets and analyzing budget variances

  • Review balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Prepare quarterly and annual accounting reports.

  • Ensure financial operations by monitoring and approving financial processing, reporting, and auditing.

  • Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives, establish accounting policies and procedures aligned with the company’s targets, and ensure compliance with the law

  • Financial analysis to support decision-making, such as evaluating investment opportunities, assessing profitability, and analyzing financial risks.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting, claims, and actuarial, to ensure accurate financial data and support business initiatives.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance

  • Must have consolidations and reporting experience

  • Insurance and re-insurance industry experience

  • Must be bilingual (English & Spanish)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.00
