Robert Half Supply Chain Director in Kearny, New Jersey

Description

We are looking for a Supply Chain Director to join our team in Kearny, New Jersey. The role primarily involves defining and executing supply chain strategy, managing production planning, and ensuring optimal service levels with supply chain partners. This is a critical role in our operations team, requiring strong skills in Enterprise Resource Planning and communication.

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies in collaboration with commercial leadership.

  • Enhance and execute Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP).

  • Collaborate with Operations and Commercial teams to manage working capital for both Made to Order and Made to Stock products.

  • Oversee and manage toll manufacturing processes.

  • Direct production planning and scheduling activities.

  • Collect and analyze key performance indicators, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

  • Optimize the warehouse network to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Serve as a point of escalation for all supply chain-related activities as needed.

  • Manage relationships and service levels with supply chain partners, including transportation (domestic and international), warehousing, and third-party service providers.

  • Coordinate closely with the Manufacturing Leader for inventory management and associated working capital tasks.

  • Define and control supply chain support and associated costs to align with commercial strategies.

  • Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders, both internal and external.

    Requirements • Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in a supply chain management role

• Proficiency in using Chef software for managing and automating infrastructure tasks

• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems

• Familiarity with Epicor ERP system for streamlining business operations

• Ability to develop and implement ERP Solutions tailored to the organization's needs

• Experience with 'About Time' software for mobile resource management

• Good understanding of Accounting Functions related to supply chain management

• Ability to manage Accounts Payable (AP) and ensure timely payments

• Knowledge of Buying Processes and ability to negotiate with suppliers

• Excellent Communication skills for coordinating with various departments and external partners

• Experience in Contract Manufacturing and ability to manage contract partners effectively.
