Inventory and Shipping/Receiving Specialist

Located: Kearny, NJ

Pay: $21/hour ; Overtime: $33.00/hour

Shift: 7am-3:30pm (Monday-Friday)

Direct Hire Position, Unionized Position

Job Description

We are seeking an Inventory Specialist to manage the delivery of supplies and equipment where needed. The successful candidate will have a basic knowledge of office procedures, terminology, and office equipment. You will use computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail, and database software to perform work assignments. The role also involves SAP production consumptions of raw material and semi-finished goods, making simple mathematical computations, and utilizing SAP database software to manage raw material and component requirements for production from engineering. Participation in the physical inventory process and investigating shipping and inventory errors will be required. All errors should be reported to Data Entry for change orders.

Hard Skills

• Basic knowledge of office procedures and terminology

• Proficiency in using computer applications (spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail, database software)

• Experience with SAP production consumptions

• Operates Forklift when needed

• Ability to make simple mathematical computations

• SAP database software proficiency

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Kearny, New Jersey.

Work Environment

HOURS: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday, standard hours. Overtime may apply. BREAK/LUNCH: 30 minutes lunch, plus two 15 minute breaks, to be determined by manager.
