UTAH COMMUNITY ACTION HEAT Program Coordinator in KEARNS, Utah

Utah Community Action is seeking a full-time HEAT Program Coordinator. Come work for an organization that was recently awarded Best of State 2022 for Best Public Preschool and Best Charitable Service Organization!

Our HEAT Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting the HEAT Manager in the execution and implementation of the HEAT (utility and water assistance), Crisis and HELP programs, assuring program compliance with Federal, State and Utah Community Action policies and procedures. Accountable to monitor program reports and support program management. Responsible to interview HEAT applicants for employment. Must train, mentor and supervise staff, as well as offer direct client services. Collaborates with intra/interagency services to develop, promote and conduct outreach events and recruitment. As a representative of the agency, HEAT staff are responsible for providing exceptional customer service and advocating for clients using a trauma-informed, client-centered approach.

Benefits

This HEAT Program Coordinator position earns a yearly wage of $49,905 We also offer generous benefits, including health, dental, vision, a flexible spending account (FSA), a Health Savings Account (HSA) with up to a $2,500 match, a 401k plan with 5% match, short and long-term disability, accident insurance, life insurance, 12 paid holidays, paid time off between Christmas and New Year's, paid time off (PTO) of up to 192 hours in the first year, and an hour of paid time on Fridays for self-care.

Qualifications

  • MS Office experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including low-income individuals
  • Bachelor's degree (social, human or family services majors preferred)
  • Excellent use of English, both spoken and written

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Previous HEAT experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish or Arabic preferred)

Physical demands

This job requires mobility and physical dexterity, and the ability to read, focus, organize, recall and retain information. Physical demands include sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time, bending, lifting approximately 25 pounds, regular use of the telephone, copier, fax and computer.

This job is located in the state of Utah and cannot be done remotely. All applicants must reside or be willing to relocated to Utah.
