BluePrint Engines Design Engineer in Kearney, Nebraska

BluePrint Engines is a leader in high-performance crate engines. We design, engineer, and manufacture top-quality engines for automotive enthusiasts, hot rodders, and racing professionals.

Description

We are seeking a talented Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design and development of new engine components and assemblies. This position offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects and collaborate with a team of passionate engineers.

Daily Tasks

  • Design new engine components and assemblies using CAD software (SolidWorks)
  • Perform engineering calculations and analysis to ensure components meet performance and durability requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions.
  • Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including drawings and specifications.
  • Support manufacturing and quality teams during the production process.
  • Participate in testing and validation activities to ensure product performance and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry
  • Proficiency in CAD software, SolidWorks preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Passion for automotive performance and engines is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • A manufacturing environment may require heavy lifting and manual labor.
  • Clean, air-conditioned and heated facility
  • Flexible and family oriented

HOURS

  • 1st shift (standard work week, automatic overtime built into each Friday)
    • Monday - Thursday 7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
    • Friday 7:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
