BluePrint Engines is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing goods, materials, and services to meet the company's operational needs, considering price, quality, and delivery to ensure continuity of supply. We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and service, and we are looking for someone who shares these values to help us maintain and enhance our supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

• Generate and place purchase orders with vendors, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
• Review purchasing suggestions and place purchase orders promptly, communicating any vendor-related challenges.
• Manage vendor performance, tracking open orders and delivery performance, and developing recovery plans for missed dates.
• Provide vendors with forecasts as available and negotiate best pricing for products and services.
• Update internal systems to provide timely and accurate updates on urgent issues that could impact the production line.
• Work collaboratively within the team to resolve vendor supply issues and delivery problems.
• Attend team meetings prepared with accurate and timely updates.
• Approve supplier invoices for payment as required and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience as a materials buyer or relevant education/training.
• Experience in negotiating with suppliers and familiarity with manufacturing operations.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures, with a detail-oriented approach.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to recognize and act on opportunities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and activities effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with Office 365 suite of products.

Compensation

• Starting at$19.00 an hour, with potential for increase based on experience.

Hours

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
