Robert Half Senior Accountant in Kapolei, Hawaii

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant in Kapolei, Hawaii. The role involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for a range of accounting duties. Your main functions will revolve around maintaining accurate financial records, conducting general ledger account reconciliation and analysis, and ensuring the company's compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough general ledger account reconciliation and analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting

• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies and non-compliance issues in accounts

• Maintain accurate records by processing transactions on ERP systems

• Analyze and describe fluctuations in balance sheets and operating expenses

• Review journal entries and account reconciliations for accuracy

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and report any variances

• Perform internal audits and financial risk assessments, and facilitate intervention strategies when necessary

• Develop and document internal control policies and procedures

• Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements

• Ensure that record-keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies

• Perform other analysis and accounting duties as may be required.

Requirements • Possession of a Bachelors / Honours Degree in Accounting or Finance.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant role.

• Current CPA License or actively on the CPA Track.

• Proficiency in preparing and adjusting Journal Entries, including Month-end Journal Entries.

• Experience in performing Month End Close and Year End Closings.

• Demonstrable skills in Account Reconciliation, especially Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation.

• Proficient in managing General Ledger.

• Capable of conducting Financial Analysis, including Ad Hoc Financial Analysis.

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

• Experience in producing Aging Reports.

• Ability to prepare Consolidated Financial Statements and Financial Statement Preparation.
