Description:

This Jr. Project Manager will be in support of the current Hawaiian Telecom project that we are working on. We have placed multiple foreman/technicians in support of this outer island work. Hawaiian Telcom's $87 Million Fiber Broadband Infrastructure Project to expand middle-mile infrastructure throughout the State of Hawaii. Hawaiian Telcom's $87 Million project will build 15 new middle-mile fiber routes, over land and undersea, to better connect the islands. The position is responsible for project tracking, project reporting, contract deliverables, invoicing, and other project related tasks. This person will be working along side current Program Manager, Wendy Hernandez in support of this project and others in the pipeline. Read and interpret work orders, specifications, engineering drawings and/or cut sheets to determine work to be done in sequence of task. Perform work in accordance with industry standards. Be familiar with BICSI standards, read and follow design engineers’ instructions and specifications, maintain the scope of work on the project and adhere to safety procedures. Interpret buried underground and aerial telecom facilities in records, on maps and in the field with clarity and detail and make recommendations for changes in running line or construction methodologies. Maintain inside and outside plant records during installation. Participate in engineering, permit and construction processes to support project contracts. Perform routine maintenance. Recognize and repair route issues including maintenance and hand hole cleanup, and sign placement. Connect wires and cables to terminals and attaches/detaches various kinds of hardware to wires, cables, buildings, or poles. Respond to and participate in emergency and outage situations that require heavy construction capabilities. Ensure that all work considers the safety of the customer and general public and compliance with all governmental orders. Able and willing to work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions. Complete daily production reports and As-Built documentation on prints
