Summary/Objective:
The IT Specialist Level 2 is instrumental in enhancing the technological framework of Goodwill Industries of Kansas, Inc. This advanced role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading the IT infrastructure, ensuring the stability and security of systems crucial to daily operations. The specialist will act as a key facilitator in the integration of cutting-edge technology solutions that support and drive the efficiency of various organizational processes, thereby directly contributing to Goodwill's strategic goals.
Job Competencies:
The IT Specialist Level 2 should excel in both technical proficiency and strategic thinking, with competencies that include advanced troubleshooting, security management, and the foresight to anticipate and mitigate IT risks before they impact operations. Strong leadership and organizational skills are required to manage multiple projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies and goals.
Job Proficiencies:
Must have a deep understanding of complex IT systems, including proficiency in managing enterprise-level networks and data systems. Skills in software development, database administration, and cloud solutions are highly desirable. The ability to document intricate systems and communicate technical challenges and solutions effectively to a broad audience is crucial.
Education/Experience:
While a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, candidates with five years of relevant experience and professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), and other related certifications may substitute for the educational requirement.
Skills & Knowledge:
Candidates must demonstrate expert knowledge in network administration, server management, and cybersecurity. Strong project management skills are essential, with a proven ability to lead technology projects from conception through to implementation. This role requires exceptional analytical skills for complex problem-solving and the capacity to innovate and implement technology solutions that align with organizational goals. Effective interpersonal communication skills are crucial for mentoring team members and explaining complex IT concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Wage Range: $46,094 - $57,618
