Aston Carter is partnering with a well known company in Kansas City that is hiring for a Tax Analyst! Our client offers annual bonus opportunities and a newly renovated office with great amenities such as an office gym and free parking.

Job Description:

• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual US tax provision calculations.

• Assist with the preparation of return to provision calculations and ensure provisions are timely and accurately booked.

• Analyze tax information and prepare internal management reporting.

• Prepare domestic compliance filings, including federal and state corporate income tax returns, tax information returns, gather data, and prepare documentation for the files.

• Gather supporting documentation for, and prepare responses to, government audit queries.

• Establish and maintain well-documented files to support tax provision, tax reporting, and compliance.

• Prepare account reconciliations for income taxes and selected entities.

• Ensure accounting and reporting processes comply with applicable internal control (SOX) requirements.

• Address and respond to queries from auditors and internal reviewers.

Required Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field required

• Experience working at least 1 busy season within public accounting OR 1 year of private industry experience required

• Tax preparation software experience

• SAP experience preferred

• CPA is a plus but not required
