Sr Accountant (Kansas City, MO)

Position Summary:

We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented individual to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments to variable expenses. This individual will work across various teams in both the accounting department and operations. As a go-to accounting expert for the company, this individual will help identify areas for streamlining processes and achieving greater efficiencies, while contributing to the daily operations of the accounting department.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Balance and maintain ledgers and accounts
• Develop and record monthly accruals
• Maintain all fixed assets within SAGE
• Prepare commission calculations for the sales and rental departments
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual closing
• Prepare monthly reporting package
• Assist with various tax filings

Ideal candidate will possess:

• General knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Minimum Requirements:

• 3-5 years of accounting experience (either public or private)
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• CPA preferred
