Description:

Client has a Windows/VMware engineer helping and would like someone similar to join them in this migration and help map out their infrastructure plans.

They are still going to renew their license with VMware until next October 2025, so they have some time before they fully migrate over.

• Need someone to help them migrate from VMware vSphere/ESXi to Microsoft Hyper-V and need help with that deployment.

• They’d prefer a expert Resource – Someone that can hit the ground running and not require a lot of training and hand holding. They would also look at Leads

• This person will also help support their storage (SAN) environment. They are currently in Dell EMC and will likely move over to NetApp A70 eventually.

• Currently in Veeam for their Backups and Replications

• Cloud experience with AWS or Azure is a big plus

• Automation and Scripting are a plus

• Infosys is their Service provider so they will partner with them and other full time client System Engineers.

• Will start as a 6-12 month contract but could move to a longer term position if they do really well.

• Prefer local to KC but open to remote candidates – Must be good with working 8am-5pm CST

They have purchased new hardware for their DC in KCMO, Liberty, Leavenworth, and Lawrence. So, they might need to travel to those locations for setup. We do have a resource with our service provider who can help with this also. Her team does go into the office on Wednesdays, and it would be great if this resource could join us.

Yes, we purchased some hardware and a couple NetApp Storage Arrays. The plan to still to move some of our VMWARE to Hyper-V. Some applications will go to AWS.
