Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $78,500.00 - $105,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

As a Commercial Payments Product Manager, you’ll support the growth and profitability of the assigned product(s), including the identification and development of new product opportunities. You will work closely with the Commercial Segment sales organization, marketing, bank operations, IT, legal and compliance to accomplish this goal.

About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to support the growth and profitability of the Wire Transfer, Instant Payments, and Data Translation products, which includes the contribution of development, enhancement, and optimization of these offerings.

Essential Functions

  • Ability to effectively learn the technical background of the product suites, the architecture, and be able to identify future opportunities or issues when they arise.

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of assigned products to effectively assist with complex questions or issues from business partners.

  • Ensures upgrades, modifications, and installations meet the requirements of the business line and pass Unit Acceptance Testing.

  • Collaborate with technology teams and Product Managers to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring smooth implementation of product features.

  • Contributes to the development and implementation of all business initiatives and tasks.

  • Gain insight into customer needs and identify opportunities that solve market problems.

  • Facilitate task-based meetings, such as priority or status meetings.

  • Effectively participate in team meetings related to their product(s) and provide meaningful feedback and insights.

  • Contribute to the product rollout (including enhancements, upgrades, or customer conversions) alongside partners including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product, IT, and Customer Support.

  • Work closely with development team to ensure functionality requirements are accurate and being completed in a timely manner.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Working understanding of Treasury Payments products, namely Wire Transfer and Real Time/Instant Payments

  • Knowledge of agile development methodology

  • Strong analytical skills and capable of problem identification and resolution.

  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook

    Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required

  • 2+ years product management/development or equivalent experience in electronic payments, Wires or Instant Payments

  • Understanding and experience in ISO20022 format preferred

At Commerce, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $78,500 to $105,000 annually. Depending on the job level, this position may be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
