Presort Machine Operator

Reports to:

Presort Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Presort Machine Operator

will have a primary responsibility of performing the initial sort of presort mail, processing customer mail, and uploading data from machine to USPS and ensure acceptance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare mail for entry into machine and assign to correct customer name

Feed and process all mail accurately

Mail needs to be sleeved, tagged and palletized as required by the USPS

Close out of system and obtain Full Service IMb to be applied on letters and flats

Assist USPS verifier and facilitate closing process

Print tray labels and place into correct locations

Complete USPS data pulls and upload eDoc to USPS website

Print and/or email paperwork for billing and management

Pull mail out of the bins, verify the mail for correct barcode, place the mail into the appropriate tray or bin

Upon filling of the tray or bin, tag, sleeve and band the mail before it is placed on the pallets

Scan the mail, place on pallets and shrink wrap it before loading it into the USPS truck

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent

Prefer technical or troubleshooting background

Strong work ethic
