National Association of Insurance Commissioners Manager, Quality Assurance in Kansas City, Missouri
Job Description:
The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Quality Assurance. The Manager, Quality Assurance position is focused on leading a team in developing, supporting, and maintaining department products and services, while managing operational plans and monitoring costs.
*This position is based out of the NAIC’s Kansas City, MO office. This is a full-time hybrid-remote position, in a positive and flexible environment. Residency within 100 miles of the Kansas City, Missouri office is required, along with in-office work as scheduled. *
Key Responsibilities
Provide software quality assurance, focusing on a significant product area or combination of products.
Identify and address underlying and long-term member and customer needs by enhancing service delivery systems and processes.
Serve in a leadership role to create the infrastructure, culture, organization, and strategy for the assigned function.
Establish and execute plans to accomplish goals of the organization, division, and department by establishing individual goals and providing input into department goals.
Exercise judgment and interpret and analyze data and relevant factors to resolve problems and help define procedures and policies.
Management Responsibilities
Directly manage Software Quality Assurance professionals and ensure their success and productivity within their teams.
Attract, develop, and retain staff, provide career counseling and personal development for direct reports, and evaluate performance and team input.
Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Experience
Typically has a Bachelor's degree with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience, including direct management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Systems & Technology Requirements
Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Outlook, Jira and Slack.
Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience with Agile methodologies.
Experience in test automation is preferred.
Experience with testing frameworks, test automation architecture, and tooling options is preferred.
Travel Requirements
Must be able and willing to travel to locations throughout the United States and with such frequency as necessary to meet the needs of this position and the Association.
Compensation
Salary range is $105,150 - $125,000, commensurate with experience and education.
