Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will perform advanced facilities maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment within operating budgets and in a timely manner. You will be responsible for preventative and scheduled maintenance on all material handling and facility equipment, completing required maintenance work orders, and maintaining maintenance and repair reports on all equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Examine mechanical equipment to diagnose issues.

  • Disassemble machines and repair or replace broken parts.

  • Recommend preventative maintenance tasks for review.

  • Inspect completed repairs made by vendors and other technicians.

  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

  • Apply mastery of skills in adapting procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment, as appropriate.

  • Serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.

  • Complete other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

  • 2+ years of relevant maintenance experience

  • Experience with Class 1, 2, & 3 type lift trucks, conveyor, and other material handling equipment

  • Welding and machining experience preferred

  • Experience with CAT5e & CAT6 data wiring preferred

  • PLC programming; experience with 3 phase 480V preferred

Work Environment

Distribution Center environment with a maintenance team size of around 3 per shift. Open shifts include: A2: Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday, 5:30am - 6pm; Monday-Friday shift: 7:30am - 4pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
