Job Description

thorough understanding and experience with AWS services, specifically related but not limited to deployment, networking, security, and data migrations

• i.e. EKS/ECS/ECR, API Gateway, Lambda, VPC networking and security, RDS, DMS, etc.

   thorough understanding and experience deploying and managing resources through IAC (infrastructure as code) (mostly terraform, and some serverless)

   experience with terragrunt and managing terraform modules with environment-specific deployment configurations

   thorough understanding of complex pipelines (gitlab ci preferred)

• integrations with aws cli, boto3 (python), and other command line tools where necessary

• bash scripting within pipelines

• experience building development helper utilities/tools to automate manual tasks

• experience building full pipelines to deploy applications (i.e. lint, scan, build, push, deploy, health check)

• familiar with the industry-standard tools to handle the different jobs

   thorough understanding of kubernetes internals

• different deployment methods (helm, kubectl, argocd/flux, etc.)

• experience deploying and managing istio (ingress and virtual services)

• advanced security implementations a plus (i.e. integration with cert manager/AWS ACM PCA)

   building secure and custom docker images (multi-stage builds, airgapped environment, security scanning, etc.)

   front end development experience (angular preferred)

   back end development experience (java springboot preferred)

Pay Range: $60/hr - $85/hr

Skills and Requirements

- This person must come from an application development background (not a platform background)

- Need somone who has worked with modernizing and migrating applications specifically.
