Hallmark Demand and Shipment Planner- Blue Yonder (remote) in Kansas City, Missouri

WHO WE ARE

As a Demand & Shipment Planner, you’ll work to increase forecast accuracy while decreasing inventory and discards and partnering with the Supply Chain organization to deliver on flawless program execution. You will monitor retail sales against forecast and make adjustments to improve forecast accuracy and reduce inventory and discards. You’ll also utilize the planning tools and process that generates forecasts for future shipments to support production planning, as well as generate a significant number of the recommended orders from DC to store.

WHAT YOUR ROLE ENTAILS AND HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

Demand Planning:

  • Prepare the data that will drive effective demand planning activities including ensuring data quality and managing any data exceptions. Maintain the forecast profiles and parameters in the tool. Enrich the forecast including adjusting the forecast based on internal and external inputs. Reconcile & manage the forecast exceptions report. Monitor and manage the forecast ongoing including generating forecast accuracy reports, analyzing metrics and performance, investigating issues, and linking with necessary integrated planning partners to confirm forecast is aligned to Integrated Planning targets.

  • Ensure finished goods production/procurement decisions are in accordance with established inventory policies and inventory plan.

  • Partner with Supply Chain contacts to ensure inventory availability to support retail needs in the most cost-effective manner possible.

  • Resolve/identify issues related to inventory position and communicates with key partners.

  • Partner with Distribution Centers regarding key deliverable for retail strategy (i.e. new program execution requirements)

  • Manage forecast to deliver on wholesale serviceability targets.

Retail Ordering & Replenishment:

  • Prepare the data that helps to define the master data needed to accurately define and setup the replenishment process. This includes managing calendars and schedules and consulting with internal partners on replenishment rules and parameters to set up and support the system functionality, as needed. Monitor and manage replenishment plans which includes managing key reports, dashboards and exceptions to enhance replenishment plan accuracy and reviewing unconstrained and constrained plans using Replenishment Dashboard and Plan Analysis. Manage the replenishment on/off override process, as needed. Some manual sell down management may be required in this category.

  • Manage/monitor inventory at retail to deliver on Everyday retail serviceability targets and retail inventory policies.

  • Resolve/identify issues related to retail inventory position and communicates with key partners.

  • Coordinate with key partners execution of SKU replacement strategy for key programs (i.e. supersession/swaps)

  • Manage incoming communication from field and customer team for account level inquiries and troubleshooting.

Lifecycle Management:

  • Utilize system to implement sell down strategy for both wholesale and retail based on display changeouts and retail activity timing. Authorize disposition of inventory at SKU level for execution at the DC, either discards or close-out sales.

  • Provide research and analytic support including generating reports and analyzing data necessary to answer questions, frame decisions, and/or provide recommendations to partners.

  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis where needed to resolve issues.

  • Communication and collaboration with key Supply Chain, Merchant, and Customer partners to manage priorities (ex. Plants, Procurement, etc.)

  • Support of other Business Models (HBC, Dayspring, etc.)

  • Mid-term forecasting / planning: consolidate and provide monthly forecast to the rough-cut capacity planning (RCCP) forecasting process.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of professional work experience

  • Experience with product merchandising, demand, inventory, replenishment, or assortment planning experience

  • Experience in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Demonstrated functional expertise executing Blue Yonder Supply Chain Planning & Optimization (SCPO) Demand Planning and Fulfillment for a CPG company, focused on forecasting models and replenishment

  • Demand, Inventory, or Replenishment Planning experience; Prior Demand and/or Inventory Planning experience in an SAP-enabled (particularly APO) environment.

  • Working knowledge of MicroStrategy, PowerBI, and/or Tableau and/or aptitude to learn

  • APICS or other relevant certification

  • Strong analytical aptitude with proven ability to analyze, interpret and summarize data and use it to make recommendations

  • Strong command and influencing skills with personnel at all organizational levels

  • Exhibits on approach that fosters teamwork and peer relationships

  • Thrives on the demands of a fast-paced environment with multiple, sometime ambiguous, priorities

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • The salary range for this job is between $60,000 and $100,000. Salary will take into consideration several factors including location.

  • This is a progressive role that will be filled at the level based on the skills and experience of the selected candidate.
