Overview
The Clinical Pharmacy Specialists provides pharmaceutical care to all patients consistent with the goals and objectives of the hospital and the pharmacy department. The pharmacist will participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of pharmacogenetic testing with clinical decision support in the electronic health record. The pharmacist will provide education to multidisciplinary care teams about pharmacogenetics. Clinical service will be through participation in the GOLDILOKS clinic. Role may allow for remote work based on the needs of the department at the discretion of the manager/supervisor.

Responsibilities
Provides patient-focused pharmaceutical care through rational, safe, and cost-effective drug therapy evaluation, management, recommendations, and patient education.
Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of pharmacogenetic-focused clinical decision support in the electronic health record.- Participates in the development and presentation of orientation, education, and training programs to patients, pharmacy, medical, and nursing staff and to other parties as appropriate upon request.- Participates in research projects upon request.- Maintains competence required for current job title/position and engages in professional self-development.
Qualifications
- Other RPH/Pharm.D. and 7 or more years experience Must be able to demonstrate activities consistent with Clinical Specialists position description in previous experience- Licensed Pharmacist - MO- Employees must obtain Licensed Pharmacist - MO or equivalent within 90 days- PHARM LIC KS Licensed Pharmacist - KS Only if primary work location is in Kansas Required 90 Days- Specialty Certification Preferred Upon Hire

Starting Pay
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $57.81/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
Remote Work/Work from Home
This is an intermittent remote position, which means that the person hired will work with his or her manager to determine a schedule that includes both at home and on-site hours at a Children’s Mercy location. The incumbent must live in the Kansas City metro area.
