Aerotek Boiler Operator Maintenance Engineer in Kansas City, Missouri

Job Title: Boiler Operator Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

Perform skilled work primarily involving maintenance, repair, and operation of boilers and other equipment related to heating and cooling.

Responsibilities

  • Check boilers daily for proper functioning, detection of leaks or other problems.

  • Replace or perform minor repairs on defective or damaged parts.

  • Make routine repairs on boilers, related equipment, and power plant fixtures.

  • Replace packing and some worn parts.

  • Periodically overhaul solenoids, fans, and repair leaks in water and steam lines.

  • Assist in major repairs as directed by superior.

  • Perform various cleaning and maintenance duties such as sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, lubricating equipment, and painting floors, pipes, fixtures, and equipment in the power plant.

  • Take boiler readings, rotate boilers, and log boiler readings.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with boiler maintenance and operation.

  • Knowledge of HVAC systems.

  • Stationary engineer experience.

  • Troubleshooting and repair skills.

  • Understanding of hydraulics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of heating boilers with the ability to operate boilers and associated equipment

Work Environment

8am - 4pm (days off are either Tues/Wed or Wed/Thurs)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
