We are looking for an Associate Counsel to join our internal legal team in providing support for legal and compliance matters. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of transactional experience in real estate (including, real estate finance) and corporate law. This individual will lead complex development transactions (purchases and dispositions) and in such capacity, will draft and review legal documents, assist with organizational compliance, and will support and counsel internal teams relating to real estate issues. What You-ll Do

  • Draft and review various legal documents, such as purchase/sale contracts

  • Manage complex real estate transactions, including, reviewing due diligence materials

  • Assist with real estate finance transactions, including construction and permanent debt, joint ventures, and recapitalizations

  • Provide general counsel to internal development teams within industrial, multi-family and data center uses

Who You Are

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school

  • Bar admission in Missouri and/or Kansas

  • 2-6 years of transactional experience in real estate and/or corporate law

  • Comfort with reviewing title/survey due diligence and some drafting experience

  • Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills

  • Ideally located in Kansas City to facilitate seamless integration with the in-person legal team
