Job Description
General Purpose:
Conduct regular pricing research and assess pricing implications on business performance. Create pricing strategies to capture opportunities, drive margin enhancements, and improve sales force effectiveness. Provide finance support for RFPs. Support the development of customer profitability analysis. Work independently and use best practices and in-depth pricing knowledge to complete work. Mentor and function as a resource to team members with less experience.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide visibility and insights to customer pricing, monthly price movers, commodities price change pass-through analysis, and proactively identify areas of opportunity to improve profitability
Forecast and analyze the impact that price changes have on financial results and seek opportunities to improve gross margin and profitability
Utilize, develop, update, and maintain pricing models to facilitate data-driven pricing decisions. Utilize statistical analysis, financial modeling, and pricing software to evaluate pricing scenarios and optimize pricing structures
Lead the execution of pricing strategies across various product lines and markets, ensuring consistency and accuracy
Review price requests and ensure assumptions align with required margin parameters
Create pricing strategies to capture opportunities, drive margin enhancements, and improve sales
Work with finance leadership to provide reporting and analysis that increases consistency, visibility, transparency, clarity, and understanding of key business impacts for all operating locations and drives financial improvements
Serve as lead on formal customer Requests for Proposal (RFP's) and other customer opportunities by providing analysis and recommendations
Consult with leadership, marketing, and other management on product pricing decisions. Challenge management on current pricing strategies with a focus on maximizing profitability. Present pricing models and answer questions related to pricing models to customers
Execute and manage pricing related special financial projects. Partner with others to pursue opportunities, solve business problems, and add clarity and understanding
Prepare reports and dashboards to communicate pricing performance, findings, and recommendations to management and other stakeholders
Participate in developing procedures and tools to enhance, improve, and optimize information processing and management reports
Provide analysis related to month-end results focused on impacts created by pricing decisions
Prepare periodic reforecasts and annual budget input related to pricing and dairy commodity costs
Work with cross-functional teams, such as risk management, sales, marketing, finance, logistics, and customer service, to provide in-depth pricing related analysis and to develop and implement effective customer pricing strategies

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience
Undergraduate degree in finance, business, economics, statistics, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of experience and education)
5 to 8 years of pricing analysis, financial analysis, or related experience
Knowledge of the dairy industry preferred
Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
In-depth knowledge of pricing concepts, strategies, and methodologies
Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and interpret market trends and customer behavior
Strong proficiency with market research and competitive analysis techniques
Knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company specific systems, especially Excel, statistical analysis tools, and pricing software
Knowledge of ERP systems, including report writing, data extraction, and forecast modeling
Knowledge of accounting, finance, marketing, and operations metrics and reporting
Highly skilled in quantitative financial analysis techniques, including data manipulation
Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to convey complex analysis in a clear and understandable manner.
Able to multi-task, problem solve, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Able to create reports and presentations for distribution to management
Able to effectively analyze and interpret data
Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Travel:
