Job Description Summary:
The KUCTT/KUMC Project ECHO Project Coordinator reports to the Director of the KU Center for Telemedicine & Telehealth. The Coordinator supports project-related requests as specified by the Director and Project ECHO Program Manager, ensures project efficiency and effectiveness, and helps coordinate communication related to the Center\'s research and education priorities. The incumbent works with key internal and external constituencies as required and serves as a key member of the administrative team. The Coordinator also is responsible for the administrative functions of the Kansas Fights Addiction and TeleHealth Integration Network of Kansas (THINK) grant projects including coordinating day-to-day operations of the grants and conducting monthly meetings with grant partners. Administrative functions may include: scheduling meetings, organizing day-to-day activities, coordinating with grant partners, recording key information for reporting and tracking, and troubleshooting problem areas with program implementation. The incumbent works with key internal and external constituencies as required and serves as a key member of the administrative team for KUCTT.
Project ECHO uses videoconferencing to link specialist teams at KUMC with primary care practices across the region. Healthcare providers earn continuing education credit for participation in case-based learning approach.
Work Location: This position will work in-office, with some consideration of hybrid (in-office/remote) after the probationary period.
Job Description:
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Under the guidance of the Director, coordinate the logistics and programmatic aspects of grant project implementation.
- Coordinate activities and facilitate meetings with a variety of individuals from within KUMC, community agencies, state agencies, healthcare organizations, as well as higher education, healthcare, and government agencies in other states.
- Attend and monitor Project ECHO clinics and educational courses; monitor HIPAA compliance, oversee collection and distribution of course materials and case presentations.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and provide technical support to remote sites; coordinate with the systems coordinators to ensure connectivity for all Project ECHO sites.
- Facilitate operational meetings of the Project ECHO Team Assist the Project ECHO project team with program evaluation and needs assessment activities.
- Assist the Project ECHO team providing technical support to internal and remote sites.
- In collaboration with the Telemedicine Digital Media and Marketing Coordinator and KUMC web developers, assist with the promotion of ECHO and other grant-related activities.
- Coordinate with the Director for recruitment of rural and/or medically underserved clinical sites for program participation.
- Manage communication and timelines for evaluations of academic-clinical partners.
- Facilitate MOA/Letters of Support for new academic-clinical partners.
- Maintain meeting agendas/minutes, distributes to collaborators.
- Communicate with project team regarding team planning meetings.
- Collaborate with Director and other team members in writing proposals for additional funding for Telehealth and Project ECHO activities, as opportunities arise.
- Coordinate with Director on required HRSA and KFA reports
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor\'s degree or more advanced degree in health sciences, nursing, public health, behavioral health, education, communication, health administration. Education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Experience used to substitute education is in addition to any required work experience.
Work Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years\' experience with project coordination.
Preferred Qualifications:
Work Experience:
- Experience with project-related technologies including telehealth/telemedicine and mHealth approaches.
- Previous experience in a healthcare field as well as experience with public health and/or broader work with communities.
- Experience in grant administration and grant-related contracts.
- Experience with grant writing, distance education, continuing education, and program marketing/promotion is a plus.
Skills
Knowledge of computer programs is essential to the grant projects (including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
Ability to understand and apply regulatory requirements at the program level
Strong written and verbal commun
