BEST FRIENDS ANIMAL SOCIETY Senior Specialist, Donor Relations in KANAB, Utah

Hiring Range: This position's hiring range is anticipated to be $22 per hour to $24 per hour, depending on experience, plus great benefits!

Manager interviews will begin the week of March 3rd (recruiter phone screen will occur prior to a manager interview)

Position Summary: This position requires a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and positive attitude. Specialists cultivate relationships with individuals and donors by fulfilling their requests and addressing issues that are concerning them. They need to have proven superior customer service skills, sound judgment and ease in working in a fast-paced, emotionally charged environment. High level backup to Senior Manager and Team Lead along with identifying efficiencies creating a better donor experience through AI and automation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare, print and mail out special acknowledgements based on information from donations posted in the CRM database. Initiate and respond to the updating of donor data in our CRM database including update, merging and correcting records specifically revenue caboodles as well as attending caboodle meetings to offer feedback. Maintain quality control over several acknowledgement processes to ensure accuracy prior to printing & mailing out special acknowledgements. This would include maintaining current Inventory levels and placing orders from the appropriate vendor when needed. Process daily the exception batches for online donations and then prepare deposits for all online giving. Respond to requests for special processing of acknowledgements due to processes not happening correctly. Special category of mailings- handle all bounced checks into HERO including entering an interaction and preparing letters and mailing. As well as printing the "rejects letters" that come from DMP after having been prepared by another team member. Mail out First Class, multiple and interim magazines (Monthly). Assist with recognition credits into donor records from Workplace Giving & Matching Donation Donations. Serve as back up to Donor Relations Manager & Team Lead on timely activities should either be out of the office for an extended period.

Skills and Experience:

Must have solid proficiency with a variety of computer software applications, including standard Microsoft programs as well as a desire and willingness to learn database solutions specific to fundraising. Prior experience leading projects is a bonus. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. The ideal person for this position would be a team player, professional, upbeat, energetic, uses tact and diplomacy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with well-developed organization skills to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands to ensure goals are met in a timely manner; be proactive, take initiative, resolve problems, and follow through. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proven ability to streamline processes and systems is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. High School diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements:

Extended periods of time sitting, working at a computer with repetitive typing, arm and hand motion. Must be able to lift up to 40lbs. Perform daily strenuous activity including, but not limited to lifting, carrying, reaching, stooping, squatting, cleaning, and bending. Must have a valid driver's license for at least 3 years, ability to qualify to be added to Best Friends insurance.
