Job Description
Purpose: This position is to provide safe, efficient, and professional medical, shopping, and community outing transportation services to residents of the Immanuel Community. This position is part time - Monday and Friday's, with flexibility to work on some Sunday's.
Essential Functions:
Be exemplary at working and driving safely. Responsible for the safe operating condition of all ILC vehicles. Deal with safety risks that you observe, and anticipate risks by being constantly situationally aware.
Be hospitable, creative and act responsibly in meeting the transportation requests of residents and guests.
Protect & maintain confidentiality, demonstrate proper respect for residents’ privacy and comply with HIPAA protections. Instruct others in maintaining privacy of residents.
Assure that residents and guests get safely and punctually to all scheduled activities.
Assist nursing and other staff to verify that guests and residents are dressed appropriately and have any needed assistance equipment (example: walkers) or documents, before leaving the ILC campus or locations they are traveling from.
Requirements
Minimum Education, Skills, Knowledge, Work Experience:
Valid driver’s license
Graduation from high school or GED preferred
Basic mechanical knowledge required
Must be at least 25 years of age for insurance purposes.
