LC Staffing Mechanical Design Engineer in Kalispell, Montana

Mechanical Design EngineerLeading provider of communication and response products is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer.  MDE’s work is a critical stage in the Engineering process. As part of this company, you’ll see world-leading solutions brought to life by the best in the business.MDE is responsible for taking designs from concept through production by creating parts and assemblies and compiling them into complete Production-ready 3D models and 2D drawings. MDE needs to maintain accuracy and completeness through all levels of design meeting or exceeding company standards of excellence. Pay:  $80,000 to $110,000 salary, depending on experienceSchedule:  Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.Benefits:Medical insurance options (available after 60 days)401(k) with a company match (available after 60 days)3 weeks of paid time off (available to use from day 1, and a quarterly incentive plan)6 paid holidaysLive and work in beautiful Northwest MontanaEssential Functions:Use FEA to analyze parts, perform stress calculations, create tests to verify results, document analysis, and change parts when needed to optimize the designResearch, read, and understand outside standards such as MI, RVIA code, SAE, etc.Complete all analyses, documentation, and drawings required for Production within established time frames as agreed upon by the Operations teamCommunicate with other Engineers, Project Management, Production Leads to identify and implement improvement opportunities at the project level, as well as a company levelCommunicate with vendors and clients to troubleshoot designs, get information on new designs, and obtain specifications/drawings/models of componentsAnalyze proposed Change Orders and communicate their assessment affecting the project’s original design parameters, project’s timeline and budget, estimated engineering time for completion of the change, feasibility given the project’s parameters, as well as other project demands upon EngineeringPropagate any downstream revisions to analyses, documentation, and drawings in a timely mannerBe willing to travel on a limited basisBackground Profile:Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited programMinimum of 5 years of verifiable work history as a Mechanical Design Engineer in a manufacturing environmentExperience with SolidWorks modeling, drawings, and file management Mechanical Design EngineerLet Twyla at LC Staffing put the spotlight on you and your resume and help you connect with this progressive and innovative leader! Our client companies pay our fees, so there is no charge to the talent we represent.Get in touch!
