Team Overview

Applied Materials’ PPC Production Engineering Department is searching for an Industrial Engineering intern to join our team in summer 2025. The Industrial Engineering position is dynamic, activities and assignments may change day-to-day. The position will entail the following:

  • Create work center and plant level layouts

  • Performs Methods Engineering analysis including process design, time, and motion studies.

  • Participates in I.E. projects and programs within areas of responsibility.

  • Design manufacturing jigs and fixtures

  • Calculates and maintains capacity data for materials processing, people, space, and equipment associated with production

  • Facilitate manufacturing process improvements

  • Value stream mapping

  • Material routing

  • Material presentation

  • Tooling presentation

  • Build sequencing

Requirements

  • Student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree program in Industrial Engineering or a related field

  • Experience in AutoCAD / NX Preferred

  • Mechanical or Industrial engineering experience in LEAN manufacturing assembly processes, and work instructions preferred.

  • Motivated, driven, and self-starter.

  • Must be able to manage dynamic priorities.

Compensation

$29 -31 per hour

The rate offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and education level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
