Customer Service Assistant Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing customer inquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner.
  • Taking and processing customer orders with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Following up on customer requests to ensure satisfaction and issue resolution.
  • Assisting internal and external customers with requests of varying degrees of complexity.
  • Researching and troubleshooting customer issues to provide effective solutions.
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless customer support.
  • Processing returns, exchanges, and warranty claims while ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Tracking shipments and providing customers with order status updates.
  • Assisting in maintaining and updating customer account information.
  • Identifying and escalating complex issues to the appropriate teams for resolution.
  • Supporting process improvement initiatives to enhance the customer experience.

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills to handle inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
  • Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with customers and team members.
  • May require research skills to troubleshoot customer problems and provide accurate solutions.
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be proficient in using computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and customer service software.
  • Must be able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members.
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to changing priorities.
