Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to provide technical direction and leadership for large-scale or complex projects, with a major focus on supporting the client in preparing for FERC Order 881 compliance before the July 12, 2025 deadline. The successful candidate will coordinate, plan, and oversee projects, ensuring that they are completed within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. The role requires advanced knowledge and experience in project management, especially in the energy or utilities sector, and a strong understanding of grid control systems, IT/OT applications, and project scheduling tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage large-scale or several medium to small complex projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project goals and budget.

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, and deliverables using Microsoft Project or equivalent project scheduling applications.

• Provide technical direction to project participants, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new developments and technologies related to the project.

• Monitor project progress and recommend improvements to ensure successful delivery of all project phases.

• Collaborate closely with IT/OT teams, ensuring the successful integration and understanding of IT/OT applications related to project deliverables.

• Work with SCADA, EMS, and other grid control systems software and databases to support project milestones and compliance requirements.

• Oversee the preparation and delivery of specific compliance documents and deliverables for each operating entity in alignment with FERC Order 881.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in project management, engineering, or related field.

• In-depth knowledge and experience working with Grid Control Systems software such as SCADA and EMS.

• Proficiency in project management tools like Microsoft Project or similar.

• Experience with IT/OT applications, particularly in the energy or utilities sector.

• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with IT/OT teams.

• Proven track record of managing projects within budget and on schedule.
