Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Communications Advisor to play a lead role in the development and implementation of our corporate communications program. This position is responsible for crafting and executing strategic communications plans, developing high-quality written and visual content, and supporting internal and external communications initiatives. You will work closely to support renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and energy storage, across the country.
This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter with exceptional writing skills who is passionate about renewable energy and thrives in a client-service-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic communications plans, key messaging, and campaigns to support business objectives.
Create engaging written and visual content for internal and external communications channels.
Serve as a liaison for assigned business units, providing executive-level communication support.
Act as project manager for campaigns, cross-functional initiatives, and events.
Support planning and execution of events in communities across the country.
Measure results and evaluate the effectiveness of communications strategies and tactics to drive continuous improvement.
Position-Specific Focus:
Collaborate with developers to tell compelling stories about our projects and gain community support.
Draft messaging and assist in planning community-focused events to support permitting and project success.
Apply a strategic mindset to address project challenges while maintaining a commitment to excellence in client service.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, with 10+ years of related experience preferred.
Proven ability to write, edit, and produce high-quality content tailored to diverse audiences.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Experience in renewable energy or a similar industry is a plus.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
