Description We are searching for a meticulous and experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in Jonesboro, Arkansas. In this role, you will be working on maintaining accurate vendor files, reconciling various accounts, and supporting the Fiscal Director. You will also be tasked with ensuring the correctness of purchase orders and maintaining internal control procedures for financial data recording.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the preparation and maintenance of vendor files, ensuring all necessary W-9 forms are completed and received.

• Review purchase orders for correct distribution codes before transferring from the Requisition/PO system to the accounting system.

• Conduct monthly reconciliation of food vendor and other vendor statements, identifying outstanding transactions, duplicate paid transactions, and transactions paid but not yet reflected on the statement.

• Support the Fiscal Director in preparing for the annual fiscal audit.

• Manage the process of documenting proof of Purchase Order and checking out agency credit cards.

• Ensure that payment received for CACFP reimbursement matches the request prepared and submitted by the Nutrition Manager.

• Maintain a highly organized filing system for all documents held by the Fiscal Department.

• Post General Ledger entries that involve cash accounts, cash transfers, and payroll.

• Assist in various report preparation to keep managers informed of the agency’s financial status.

• Maintain confidentiality of all financial/personnel information. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required.

• Ability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation.

• Experience in handling Bank Reconciliations.

• Thorough knowledge of General Ledger management.

• Demonstrated ability to prepare and review Journal Entries.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary.

• Experience in Month End Close procedures.

• Familiarity with NetSuite software is a must.

• Working knowledge of Oracle financial software.

• Prior experience in using SAP is essential.
