About the Position: The incumbent will be assigned to the 404th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Maintenance Division, at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.' This position will be filled as a term appointment NTE 13 months. Responsibilities Perform as a staff officer working in the S-2/3 Office. Formulate, evaluate, and coordinate logistics plans and policies. Analyze mission objectives to determine the kind and extent of support required, coordinate with functional representatives to ensure adequate manpower, supplies, equipment and services meet specific requirements. Assist in the establishment of training objectives, master of scenario event listing, and coordinates with internal and external staffs in accomplishing tasks and missions. Provide advice to management officials on training and development matters, such as procedures for assessment of training needs; training necessary to support short-and long-term needs; training methods and facilities. Monitor and track training requirements and maintain updates in a battalion tasker database; plans, reports and evaluates training requirements. Attend logistics conferences, meetings, seminars, boards and workshops as a briefer to recommend logistics problem resolutions and new or improved techniques, policies, and/or procedures.
