Navy Systems Management Activity LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, District Of Columbia

Summary You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST within NAVAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. Responsibilities You will be responsible for total logistics and life-cycle sustainment support of assigned programs. You will develop policy, procedures, and instructions for fleet implementation and logistics operations of assigned programs, You will direct and plan for the implementation and logistics a support of standard, non-standard and commercial items which are obtained from both Government and non-Government systems. You will maintain security for supported programs and balance theses security requirements with the absolute need to comply with the requirements of law and regulation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties as such: 1) Knowledge of total logistics and life-cycle sustainment support of assigned programs. 2) Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate all matters relating to the logistics activities/functions for assigned programs. 3) Ability to coordinate with the Navy, other military departments and other national agencies to ensure sufficiency of logistics policies, programs, and procedures.
