Performs pre-admission, admission and continued stay reviews to assureappropriate statusdocumentation and registration. Substantiates medical necessity and intensity of service based on industry standard criteria and assuresappropriate resourceutilizationthroughout the hospital course. Proactively functions as the primary communicationregardingmedical necessity issues with physicians,patientsand families, third party payers and all other allied health professionals based on medical necessity criteria. Refersappropriate casesto Behavioral Medicine Psychiatrist for medical management intervention.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Diploma, Associate orBachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Current PA Registered Nurse License to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of PA required
• One year experience as a Psychiatric RN or ExperiencewithCase Management
• Clinical Nursing experience in Behavioral Medicine preferred
• Behavioral Medicine Case Management experience preferred EEOC Statement:
