We are seeking a driven, entry-level Mechanical/HVAC Engineer to join our growing teams at the following office locations:

  • Johnstown, PA (Headquarters)

  • Pittsburgh, PA

You will be responsible for performing various tasks related to mechanical/HVAC system design including, engineering calculations, HVAC equipment selections, ductwork/piping layouts and sizing. You will work under the direction of a Professional Engineer to perform other design related tasks. This role offers growth opportunities as you become responsible for broader aspects of HVAC Engineering and design, while gaining experience towards a PE license.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical/HVAC system design.

  • Select equipment such as fans, air handling units, heat exchangers, chillers, etc.

  • Size and layout ductwork and piping.

  • Perform load calculations using Trance Trace.

  • Conduct energy modeling.

  • Travel to project sites to survey existing conditions.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project team members.

  • Work with clients, vendors and contractors on a limited basis.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a mechanical concentration.

  • FE/E.I.T. Certification is strongly desired.

  • 0 to 4 years’ experience

  • Experience with AutoCAD/Revit software platforms.

  • Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Occasional travel may be required.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to meet project deadlines and provide outstanding service to clients.

  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects.

  • Ability to work in and foster a team environment with minimal supervision.
