Director of Campus Recreation and Student Athlete Success

Director of Campus Recreation and Student Athlete Success is a key member of the athletics department and campus engagement department. Responsibilities include oversight of the Academic and Career Success of Student Athletes, Campus Recreation and Wellness: Club Sports and Intramurals. Additional duties of designated NCAA sport oversight and game day management as assigned. Working with the VPSAA, Athletic Director, Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance, Admissions, Assistant Athletic Director of Facilities and Operations, the Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR), coaches, and other university staff.

Job Summary

Facilitates the promotion and scheduling of major athletic facilities for intercollegiate and non-intercollegiate events. Employs effective marketing, manages contracts, plans promotions, and oversees game day events.

Essential Functions

Must fulfill duties of Campus Recreation for overall campus wellness, club sports, and intramural activities as well as support and foster student athlete success through 1 on 1s, study halls, and recruitment of incoming student athletes.

Physical Effort

Must be able to be mobile to attend sporting events (on/off campus) and help support campus recreation.
