Insight Global Service Engineer in Johnston, Iowa

Job Description

The primary focus is on delivering field sensors to the respective teams to ensure timely deployment. Responsibilities Associated include managing field sensors, performing maintenance and preventive maintenance (PMs), and conducting seasonal preparation such as annual maintenance, repairs, and improvements. Additionally, this resource will inspect and troubleshoot lab equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance. They will also develop and communicate equipment updates, ensuring proper setup, calibration, operation, and maintenance of all equipment, machines, and sensors. For Sensors they will work on IRT sensors, Sentek sensors and Weather Stations. In the lab they will work on Liquid handlers, Centrifuges, Sealers, automation platforms etc. Will also use Maintenance Connection CMMS software.

Pay rate ranges from $34 - $35 per hour.

Skills and Requirements

Run and maintain activities on Field sensors and in lab

 Able to perform the physical aspects of this job which include but are not necessarily limited to; sit/stand for extended periods, repetitive motion and are able to lift up to forty (40) lbs.

 A four-year engineering degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field, or a two-year technical or associate degree in Maintenance, Agriculture, Manufacturing, Electrical, or a related field with 3+ years of experience.

 Experience working on lab automation platforms.

 Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.

 Previous experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or similar systems Assist in managing field sensors, conduct seasonal preparation work, including annual preventive maintenance, repairs, and improvements.

 Regularly inspect and troubleshoot lab equipment to ensure optimal performance.

 Lead and promote a strong safety culture among team members, while driving the maintenance and reliability of the process.

 Develop and communicate equipment changes and improvements.

 Ensure proper setup, calibration, operation, and preventive maintenance of equipment, machines, and sensors.

 Estimate labor and equipment costs and maintain accurate maintenance inventories and repair logs.

 Partner closely with engineers, production leaders and other support team members for continuous improvement and cross-training

 Perform various other duties as assigned null
