- Valid Iowa teaching license with K-6 Teacher Elementary Classroom and K-12 English as a Second Language endorsements required

Professional Performance Criteria – Instructional Process
Develop and implement comprehensive English Language Development (ELD) curriculum aligned with state and district standards.
Design and deliver engaging, culturally responsive lessons that cater to the diverse needs of English Language Learners (ELs) at various proficiency levels.
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including explicit instruction, small group work, cooperative learning, and technology-integrated activities.
Assess students' language proficiency regularly to inform instruction and monitor progress.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure seamless integration of language and content instruction.
Provide support and guidance to ELL students in core academic subjects.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes language acquisition and academic achievement
Professional Responsibilities
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in ESOL education.
Collaborate with colleagues to share expertise, resources, and strategies.
Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and attendance.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's academic progress and language development.
Adhere to school and district policies and procedures.
Contribute to a positive school culture and climate.
Terms of Employment: 194-day contract
