Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manger of Fleet Management , the Predictive Analytics Specialist plays a pivotal role in overseeing our entire fleet's health using cutting-edge technology platforms. The primary goal is to proactively identify and prevent potential maintenance issues and roadside breakdowns. This position is dynamic and will continually evolve as our program advances with new technologies. Success in this role demands adaptability to change and a readiness to manage varying levels of responsibility in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize diverse platforms to actively monitor fleet health, track active fault codes, and assess key parameters.

  • Conduct in-depth research into historical maintenance data, correlating it with current information for actionable insights.

  • Assess and determine the severity of each situation based on available data.

  • Offer recommendations for maintenance needs grounded in real-time data analysis.

  • Collaborate seamlessly with various departments within Saia to efficiently schedule and execute maintenance.

  • Employ the fleet maintenance system across various functions as needed.

  • Prioritize and organize work systematically, giving precedence to critical requirements.

  • Collaborate with multiple vendors to enhance existing analytical tools and drive future improvements.

  • Construct predictive models and discern trends related to diverse maintenance aspects using comprehensive fleet data.

  • Conduct active research to identify and capitalize on emerging trends within fleet data.

  • Accurately record workloads, events, and perform essential data entry for thorough tracking and analysis.

  • Utilize various OEM over-the-air tools to aid in maintenance functions.

  • Fulfill any other duties as required to ensure operational efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent experience

  • Fundamental grasp of fleet maintenance and diesel engines

  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills

  • Mastery of MS Excel

  • Ability to thrive both autonomously and within a team setting

  • Effective management of multiple concurrent projects

  • Proficiency in communicating across all levels of the organization
