Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Joelton, Tennessee

Description

We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our growing client Healthcare industry northwest of Nashville. The role involves various responsibilities, including the timely recording of general ledger transactions, completion of balance sheet reconciliations, and the effective management of multiple tasks. The Sr. Accountant will also play a key role in the month-end close process and contribute to the improvement of General Ledger activities.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately record general ledger transactions following GAAP guidelines

• Execute the month-end close process in a timely manner

• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and understand the accrual process

• Provide support to the Controller and suggest improvements for General Ledger activities

• Analyze financial statements for accuracy and perform ad-hoc analysis of accounts/expenses as needed

• Assist in the completion of special projects and other assigned duties

• Maintain confidential records and demonstrate a strong understanding of GAAP

• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiently use Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, and NetSuite

• Analyze processes and data to ensure accuracy and maintain exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

Requirements • Minimum of two years of experience working in a similar role within the Healthcare/NHS industry

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in handling General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with NetSuite software platform

• Experience in managing Balance Sheets

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently when required

• Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred

• Certification such as CPA or CMA is advantageous.
