Reference #: 580879 Job Description   Sortation Lead 1225 Mid Valley Dr, Jessup, PA 18434 PA100 Distribution Center Part-time Shift(s): SUN 6:00am - 2:00pm MON TUE WED THU 4:00pm - 10:00pm Up to 28 hours/week

OVERVIEW: Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Part-time Sortation Lead, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Sortation department. You will help facilitate the movement of product throughout the distribution center to company owned branches. You will organize all outgoing orders by placing packages into the correct shipping containers to prepare for shipment. You will provide guidance to ensure operations are completed correctly, efficiently and on time. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Leading and training team members o Communicating with employees and branches o Organizing shipments into correct containers o Stacking product in correct locations o Maintain the cleanliness/organization of work area o Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations o Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives o  Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o Proficient written and oral communication skills o Proficient computer skills o Work independently as well as in a team environment o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented o Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) o Successfully pass a post offer pre-employment drug screen, background check, and previous employment verification, required by a customer/contract serviced by this location

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Prior experience operating a forklift o Previous sortation experience o Prior leadership experience
