Job Responsibilities

  • Teach culinary skills to incarcerated inmates in the in2work program.

  • Assist officers in the dining room.

  • Support and train field staff while adding culinary instruction.

  • Operate with 60-80% travel, covering Frederick, Baltimore, Hagerstown, and Baltimore City.

  • Oversee kitchen operations and manage classes typically consisting of 5-10 inmates, with a maximum of 20.

  • Manage and provide DOC Facilities with direction on order guide changes.

  • Ensure all products purchased comply with guidelines.

  • Maintain food production software and place orders as needed.

  • Conduct cost analysis of product purchases.

  • Communicate effectively with DOC and build relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • Understanding of supply/demand dynamics and the ability to mitigate supply risk.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships at all levels.

  • Self-starter, confident, motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.

  • High energy, results-oriented with a sense of urgency.

  • Creative and adaptable to new situations in a dynamic environment Compensation:

  • 14 cents per mile for travel.

  • $500 car allowance.
