Aerotek is currently hiring for CNC machinists in the greater Jessup, MD area! Qualified candidates will be able to perform the following duties:

Job Description :

• Ensure all first piece inspections are performed and approved

• Work independently to verify that material and paperwork for the job being performed is correct

• Plan machining in accordance with all blueprints and technical data and specifications, applying geometric dimensioning and tolerances as required

• Set-up mills by adjusting necessary fixturing and machine attachments, setting and applying tool and machine reference points and offsets, and calculating requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry

• Check stock and load/unload the machine

• Verify that there are no chips on either the jaws/fixture or on the part/material to be machined

• Load the part/material, ensuring it is properly seated in the fixture/jaws, snug against any stop pins prior to clamping or tightening

• Follow all quality procedures, work instructions, and documents pertaining to the job and department

• Ensure that company inspection equipment and tools in the department are in calibration

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T)

• Experience with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)

• Ability to operate various machines within the department with minimal instruction

• Understanding of G-Code

• Capability of reading and understanding drawings, blueprints, and specifications

• Good leadership skills and capability to train employees

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $35.00/hr.
