Aerotek Cnc Machinst in Jessup, Maryland
Aerotek is currently hiring for CNC machinists in the greater Jessup, MD area! Qualified candidates will be able to perform the following duties:
Job Description :
Ensure all first piece inspections are performed and approved
Work independently to verify that material and paperwork for the job being performed is correct
Plan machining in accordance with all blueprints and technical data and specifications, applying geometric dimensioning and tolerances as required
Set-up mills by adjusting necessary fixturing and machine attachments, setting and applying tool and machine reference points and offsets, and calculating requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry
Check stock and load/unload the machine
Verify that there are no chips on either the jaws/fixture or on the part/material to be machined
Load the part/material, ensuring it is properly seated in the fixture/jaws, snug against any stop pins prior to clamping or tightening
Follow all quality procedures, work instructions, and documents pertaining to the job and department
Ensure that company inspection equipment and tools in the department are in calibration
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T)
Experience with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
Ability to operate various machines within the department with minimal instruction
Understanding of G-Code
Capability of reading and understanding drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Good leadership skills and capability to train employees
Ability to work with minimal supervision

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $35.00/hr.
